Terms of Service

startfrom.today is a memory layer for your career: it turns what you log — work, side projects, books, workouts — into a structured record of skills and hours, and computes career intelligence on top of it (your knowledge sphere, automation resistance, matches with roles and vacancies).

The insights the Service produces are informational. They are computed from your own record and public taxonomies, and they are not professional career, financial or legal advice. You make your own decisions.

You need an account to use the Service. Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

You own the content you put into the Service. You grant us a license to store and process it solely to operate and improve the Service for you — that is what the license is for, and nothing else. We do not sell your data, and we do not train AI models on it.

You can export nothing less than everything: deleting your account removes your record from our systems, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

• break the law with the Service, or submit content you have no right to submit;
• probe, overload or disrupt the Service, or access other people's accounts or records;
• scrape or bulk-extract other users' data — the friend features exist for people, not for harvesting;
• resell the Service or misrepresent it as your own.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things.

If you connect an AI assistant through our MCP connector, actions it takes within the scope you authorized (reading your record, logging entries) are treated as your actions. You can revoke an assistant's access at any time.

The core of the Service — capturing your record — is free. Pro is a paid subscription ($9.99/month or $59.99/year) that unlocks deeper analytics and features, billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Prices may change — we will tell you before a change affects your renewal.

We work to keep the Service available and your record safe (including encrypted off-site backups), but the Service is provided "as is", without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the Service as a whole, we will give you time to take your record out.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, sf2d, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
